Tanya, Lauren, Morguhn and Mathew Burke

Nestled South of the Capital since 1991, Optimum Training Center is a full service facility conveniently located 20 mintues from downtown Austin.

Along with a growing number of horses competing in the open divisions, Optimum has always maintained a strong amateur commitment which continues to be the foundation of the training program. Together with their clients, the show ring accomplishments in performance and halter include U.S. National Reserve Champion and Top Tens, Youth National Top Ten, Regional Champion, Regional Reserve Champion and Top Fives.

Both Mathew and Tanya's families were involved in breeding and showing Arabian horses. These early years of involvement form some of their most cherished memories. A life long love of the Arabian breed drives their commitment to achieve the utmost potential of the horses and their owners.

We are proud to now be able to share our love of the Arabian breed with our children, the third generation of Arabian enthusiasts of our family. Our daughter Lauren has earned a phenomenal show record for young rider including many regional titles and Youth National Reserve Champion and Top Tens. She is also an National Honor Society student, a competitive volleyball player and a published poet. She was also named to the Duke University scholastic talent search and placed in the top 25% of students her age in the U.S. from this elite group in her SAT test scores. Our son Morguhn is just beginning his show career in walk trot and is a outstanding elementary school student. We look forward to watching them both grow and sharing in their growing love and understanding of the Arabian horse.
